Online Marketing Course

In the section Top Home Business I went through the 7 key questions you need to ask before joining any home business.

But probably THE most important question of all is whether the business provides an online marketing course.

Why is that so important? Surely the company’s products or services are the main thing? Didn’t that nice guy or gal tell me they were so good they’d sell themselves?

We can easily put that theory to the test. Let’s try a simple experiment.

Go ahead and order a large quantity of your favourite product. Store it in the garage. Don’t worry if there’s no room for your car – after all, this product is so good it’ll sell itself, remember? So it won’t be hogging your garage for long, right?

So, to complete the experiment, return to your garage 1 week later and check how many of  those irresistible products have been sold.

WHAT? None of them? I thought they were going to sell themselves?

That’s why marketing is king. If you don’t know how to market you don’t have a business, it’s as simple as that.

And that’s exactly the reason I failed with my previous two home business companies, before I was lucky enough to find the world’s top home business.

Back then I didn’t have the first idea about marketing. And the company’s idea of a “training program” was to sell me leads and provide me with a script to use on everyone I met.

It makes me feel quite sick, looking back.

What I love about the marketing training provided by the business I’m lucky enough to be in now is that it takes the form of an online marketing course. It’s like a home study pack which you can follow at your own pace, with live coaching calls.

As you’d expect from any half-decent online marketing course, it covers all the bases:

Search Engine Optimization or SEO (which is what I’m using with this site)

Blogging

Forum Marketing

Article Marketing

Video Marketing

Press Release Marketing

Social Media Marketing

Classified Ads – Online And Offline

Pay-Per-Click Advertising

Banner Advertising

Direct Mail Marketing

These are all proven, “solid” marketing methods. I would advise against buying leads, buying hits to your website and viral marketing of the kind where “you look at my website and I’ll look at yours”.

All of these attract either no leads at all or poor quality leads.

You’ll find some recommended educational tools in the Resources section.
